“I am always thinking about how color speaks,” says Dixon. Her paintings are a response to her natural instinct to create, capturing moments of energy and movement. Dixon finds inspiration in the world around her, drawing from her experiences and the places she loves, like Venice. She describes the city as “moored on a sea of timeless beauty.”

Born in Monroe, Louisiana, Dixon studied at Newcomb College of Tulane University, earning her BA in Studio Art and Painting. She also studied in Florence, Italy, and trained with notable artists Wolf Kahn and Kim English. Now living in Colorado with her family—and her beloved Golden Retriever—Dixon continues to create art that resonates with both collectors and casual viewers alike.
Her work can be found in both private and corporate collections, including Blue Cross of Louisiana, St. Regis Hotel in Atlanta, and Del Frisco’s in Denver. Traditional Home Magazine, Southwest Art Magazine, and the Aspen Times have all featured her work.
