Gallery artist Ann Rudd's technique is semi-abstract combinations including oil, charcoal, oil pastel, and graphite. Ann is interested in paintings that combine the appearance of 3-dimensional depth and 2-dimensional flat surface, abstract realism. The design possibilities seem endless.

Ann Rudd Artist Awards
Ann loves a good contest and has won numerous awards at the local and regional levels in Charlotte, North Carolina, as well as several awards at the national level. She received a merit award and was an Art Muse Contest Emerging Artist Finalist in 2019, has been listed in the Bold Brush Favorite 15% several times and was thrilled to be a Finalist in the Bold Brush Contest in March 2022 and June 2022. She also received the Bold Brush Award for Abstract in June 2022. She continues to exhibit in a variety of venues, competitions and galleries. She donates a portion of her sales to to disaster relief charities.
Since retiring from a 30 year career in psychology, Ann has pursued painting on a daily basis, creating many works that explore subjects and process. Her favorite goal in painting is to lose as many edges as possible, painting the air, and letting the subject merge into the atmosphere.
