Forging allows the artist to unlock the material and move it at it’s fluid state, then once more freeze it in time. Sculpture is where I go to challenge myself. I find the process allows me to push myself to the limits of my ability. That time spent playing and experimenting at this boundary, set by my skill and creativity, is where I learn and grow. The craft of blacksmithing is how I have decided to make my mark on the world, which is far more permanent than myself.”
